I can’t believe that I got off work on Sunday, did an amazing 5 mile run under an hour…and BAM! I GOT SICK! I consider myself quite healthy and fit, and having just gotten over a really bad cold in October (2015), this virus hit faster and much harder than before. My goal was to run 4-5 miles everyday till the end of January so I can reach my goal of 100 miles…and right now the way it looks, it doesn’t appear I am going to be reaching that goal! I feel like a lot of my goal-setting has been interrupted by things out of my control, be it with work or even getting sick. The one thing I do know for sure that holds true is when I am in the zone with my cardio, resistance training, and meals, I am unstoppable!
You will have set backs and you will doubt yourself! But never allow your subconscious to become relaxed and used to it! I could sit here all day trying to formulate and piece together some made up puzzle as to why I am getting sick or why I got sick again…but the fact of the matter is that I know that my body will come back a lot stronger when I stay on my workout and meal plans, and when I get better, everything else like our home and the kids schooling, are all back in order!
